PG&E Restores Power To Solano County, May Call Another Shutoff
PG&E is monitoring another wind event later this week and has sent advance notifications to potentially affected Solano County customers.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Power has been restored to essentially all 25,000 customers in 20 counties, including Solano, who were affected by a PG&E public safety power shutoff that started Monday, the utility company said.
Some 4,450 customers in Solano County were impacted by the outage, and another 1,591 customers in the county may be affected by another public safety power shutoff this week.
Earlier Tuesday, PG&E sent two-day advance notifications to approximately 29,000 customers in Solano and 18 other counties about a potential weather-related shutoff that could begin as early as Thursday.

PG&E is continuing to monitor another weather system expected to bring dry offshore winds to Northern and Central California and may need to call a second PSPS this week to reduce wildfire risk, the utility said.
In Solano County, power would go off between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Thursday and would be restored by around 7 p.m. on Thursday, according to PG&E's current PSPS forecast.

According to PG&E, here are the potentially affected customers by county:
- Butte County: 2163 customers, 176 Medical Baseline customers
- Colusa County: 553 customers, 38 Medical Baseline customers
- Contra Costa County: 293 customers, 22 Medical Baseline customers
- Glenn County: 377 customers, 22 Medical Baseline customers
- Kern County: 651 customers, 34 Medical Baseline customers
- Lake County: 1774 customers, 116 Medical Baseline customers
- Napa County: 3750 customers, 157 Medical Baseline customers
- Plumas County: 646 customers, 22 Medical Baseline customers
- San Luis Obispo County: 1488 customers, 39 Medical Baseline customers
- Santa Barbara County: 209 customers, 7 Medical Baseline customers
- Shasta County: 7962 customers, 685 Medical Baseline customers
- Sierra County: 976 customers, 31 Medical Baseline customers
- Solano County: 1591 customers, 123 Medical Baseline customers
- Sonoma County: 1481 customers, 52 Medical Baseline customers
- Stanislaus County: 30 customers, 0 Medical Baseline customers
- Tehama County: 1986 customers, 161 Medical Baseline customers
- Trinity County: 59 customers, 0 Medical Baseline customers
- Yolo County: 405 customers, 13 Medical Baseline customers
- Yuba County: 2523 customers, 229 Medical Baseline customers
In Monday's shutoff, wind gusts in de-energized areas with some of the largest customer impacts were observed as follows: 55 mph in Butte County; 52 mph in Shasta County; and 47 mph in Tehama County.
"Preliminary data shows at least four instances of weather-related damage and hazards in the PSPS-affected areas, including vegetation on lines," the utility said. "If PG&E had not de-energized powerlines, these types of damages could have caused wildfire ignitions."
