Beloved Berkeley Eatery To Reopen As Co-Op: Report
Less than three weeks after announcing its closure, Bette's Oceanview Diner is back in business, Berkeleyside reports.
BERKELEY, CA — A beloved Berkeley eatery written off for dead just over three weeks ago has new life.
Bette’s Oceanview Diner's staff took matters into its own hands, and it now plans to reopen the iconic restaurant as a co-op later this month, Berkeleyside reports.
The restaurant will be called Oceanview Diner but the menu will remain the same, the report said.

The staff is eager to serve up its popular pancake breakfasts, William Bishop, the diner’s financial manager who helped organize the co-op, told Berkeleyside.
“If we got our business license today,” Bishop told the news outlet, “we’d be making pancakes for people tomorrow.”
