Berkeley Attempted Robbery Probed

BERKELEY, CA — The victim of an attempted robbery near the UC Berkeley campus early Sunday morning managed to hold off a small group demanding he turn over his property, but his would-be robbers left the area before authorities arrived on the scene, police said.

The attempted robbery occurred at around 1:10 a.m. in front of Kip’s Bar and Grill at 2439 Durant Ave., UC police said.

Four or five males and one female approached the victim demanding his personal property, according to police.
