Berkeley CVS Pharmacy Readies For Closure: Report
A CVS spokesperson told Berkeleyside the decision to close the downtown store was a "difficult" one.
BERKELEY, CA — A downtown Berkeley pharmacy is readying for closure.
The CVS store at 2300 Shattuck Ave. will close June 15, Berkeleyside reports.
The CVS closure is among hundreds nationwide. The company last year announced plans to shutter 900 stores in 2022.

Customers are being directed to a CVS store at 2655 Telegraph Ave. about a mile away according to the report.
A CVS spokesperson Monica Prinzing told Berkeleyside the decision to close the downtown store was a “difficult” one.

Prinzing said all prescriptions will be transferred to the 2655Telegraph Ave. store, and that employees at the Shattuck store will be offered comparable positions at other locations.
