BERKELEY, CA — A downtown Berkeley pharmacy is readying for closure.

The CVS store at 2300 Shattuck Ave. will close June 15, Berkeleyside reports.

Customers are being directed to a CVS store at 2655 Telegraph Ave. about a mile away according to the report.

A CVS spokesperson Monica Prinzing told Berkeleyside the decision to close the downtown store was a “difficult” one.

Prinzing said all prescriptions will be transferred to the 2655Telegraph Ave. store, and that employees at the Shattuck store will be offered comparable positions at other locations.
