BERKELEY, CA — A Berkeley restaurant got a shout-out from Diablo Magazine.

It recently honored East Bay diners, dive bars, and hole-in-the-wall eateries "that open early for breakfast, prepare hot lunches and satisfying dinners, and pour you a drink for a reasonable price."

In the desserts and other treats category, Baker and Commons was singled out for its old fashioned soda fountain.
