Delectable Bites Extolled At Berkeley Bakery
Are these incredible donuts part of your heritage?
BERKELEY, CA — Many health-conscious residents, who otherwise avoid sweet treats, indulge during the holidays. So the Mercury News checked out bakeries around the Bay Area and selected nine that it considered praiseworthy. Making the cut is Masse’s Pastries of Berkeley.
Specifically, Masse’s Pastries was singled out for sufganiyot , which are Jewish jelly-filled donuts.
"We were the first place in the Bay Area to do sufganiyot," Marcia Masse told the Mercury News. "People lose their minds over those guys."
