How To Order Free Home COVID Tests In Berkeley
The federal government announced last month that each household is eligible for the free tests. Here's the link for you to order.

BERKELEY, CA — The Biden administration announced last month that it will provide hundreds of millions of dollars to help produce new, at-home COVID-19 tests, and restart a website that will allow Berkeley residents to once again order up to four free tests per household.
The website is currently active. Click this link to order your free tests. Like last time, the tests will be delivered for free by the U.S. Postal Service.
The website will remain online for orders through the holidays, according to Dawn O’Connell, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

"If there is a demand for these tests, we want to make sure that they're made available to the American people for free in this way," O'Connell said. "But, at this point, our focus is getting through the holidays and making sure folks can take a test if they're going to see Grandma for Thanksgiving."
New hospital admissions for COVID in California remain low through the week of Sept. 23, at 2457 patients, a rate of 6.22 per 100,000 population, according to data available on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website. Almost the entire nation falls into the low category. Montana and the District of Columbia reported medium hospitalization rates. No states rose to the high category.
