Silver-Revolver Holdup Suspect Arrested 1 Year Later: Berkeley PD

A man accused of robbing a gas station with a silver revolver last year has been arrested.

BERKELEY, CA — A man who allegedly used a silver revolver in the attempted holdup of a Berkeley gas station has been arrested almost a year later.

Arcturus Wiggins, 49, of Richmond, was taken into custody Oct. 26 in connection with the attempted robbery on Nov. 21, 2024, Berkeley police said Friday.

A man armed with a silver revolver entered the Chevron station at 1399 San Pablo Ave. about 6:34 p.m. and tried repeatedly to get to the cashier behind protective glass.

He succeeded only in putting his hand through the pass-through drawer and pointing the handgun at the clerk before fleeing, police said.

Police distributed images of the gunman recorded by security cameras. In December 2024, the Marin County Sheriff's Office told Berkeley police they had arrested and identified a man who committed several robberies using a silver revolver.

Berkeley obtained a warrant for Wiggins' arrest on Feb. 7.

Pittsburg police arrested Wiggins Oct. 26 for the Berkeley warrant, as well as for evading police and resisting arrest. On Tuesday, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office charged Wiggins with robbery, according to Berkeley police.
