Suspect Arrested For Berkeley Shooting, Police Say

BERKELEY, CA — Police in Berkeley arrested a man on Thursday allegedly connected to an October shooting.

On Oct. 24, officers responded to reports of gunshots near Henry Street and Berkeley Way. Any suspects had already fled the area, but police recovered evidence of the shooting at the scene. A 34-year-old suspect was identified, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Thursday morning, a warrant was served at the suspect's residence in Oakland, and he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm, discharging a firearm in a negligent manner and shooting into an inhabited dwelling, among other weapon-related crimes.
