Watch Deal Turns Violent In UC Berkeley Robbery
Police are investigating a robbery that took place on the University of California, Berkeley campus Monday afternoon.
BERKELEY, CA — Police are investigating a robbery that took place on the University of California, Berkeley campus Monday afternoon.
UC Berkeley police said that around 4:50 p.m., three people met with an individual to purchase several watches. But instead of completing the transaction, they reportedly used pepper spray on the victim, stole the watches, and fled westbound.
Officers from both UC Berkeley Police and the BART Police Department responded to the scene and searched the area, but the suspects had already left. As of 7:37 p.m. Monday, they remain at large.
