Iconic Flower Fields To Soon Spring Into Color In San Diego County
Tickets and season passes for the 2026 season at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are now on sale.

CARLSBAD, CA — The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is preparing to spring into color.
Tickets and season passes for the 2026 season went on sale Tuesday, as the iconic springtime attraction soon blooms back to life. From March 1 through May 10, nearly 80 million flowers will blanket the rolling hills at the Carlsbad ranch.

"Each season feels like a fresh celebration of spring, and we're excited to officially welcome guests back in March," said Fred Clarke, general manager of The Flower Fields.

"During our off-season, we've been tending the fields, planting ranunculus and organizing another spectacular season for our guests," he said. "Our entire team is dedicated to not only preparing for the big bloom but also curating fun events, new experiences and more to ensure an immersive and unforgettable experience at The Flower Fields."
What began in 1965 as a small ranunculus farm has blossomed into a world-renowned spring destination, drawing visitors from across the country to witness one of the most photographed floral displays in the U.S.

For 10 weeks only, the annual attraction welcomes guests to explore 55 acres of giant tecolote ranunculus, a flower known for its large, double-petaled blooms that sit atop tall, straight stems.

A full slate of activities is planned for the upcoming season, including live music performances, workshops and wellness classes.
The Flower Fields has enhanced its butterfly encounter experience, with a new 1,000-square-foot greenhouse housing hundreds of butterflies. There's also U-Pick Blueberries on Mondays and Tuesdays, based on availability.
Other attractions include the American Flag of Flowers, artist gardens and bird aviaries, tractor wagon rides, a sweet pea maze, poinsettia display, Carlsbad Mining Company, Santa's Playground and more.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are located at 5704 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad.
Single ticket admission costs $27 for adults, $25 for seniors and military, and $17 for children ages 3-10. Admission is free for children under 3. Season passes are $57 for adults, $52 for seniors, and $33 for children ages 3-10, with group tours also available. The butterfly encounter costs $8 for adults and $4 for children. Wagon tours are $8 for adults and $4 for children.
