• Soccer Recap: Amador Valley Gets the Win (maxpreps.com) — Castro Valley High’s boys soccer team dropped a 2-0 road match to Amador Valley, marking their second straight loss and moving their record to 3-2. Amador Valley scored twice through Ekansh Samanta and Lucas Cimas, but Castro Valley quickly bounced back later in the week with a dominant 9-0 win over San Lorenzo.
   

• Local archives preserve history (tricityvoice.com) — Castro Valley’s history is being actively preserved at the Hayward Area Historical Society, which collects stories and artifacts from Castro Valley and other nearby unincorporated communities. From Ohlone curriculum kits for classrooms to Cold War relics and decades of local newspapers, staff are working to connect residents’ personal memories with documented history while seeking more community stories and financial support to expand their exhibits.
