Rain Or Shine? The Memorial Day Forecast For The Castro Valley

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer in Castro Valley, and this year, many residents will mark the new season with a three-day weekend filled with memorial services, outdoor events and backyard barbecues.

At this point, your weekend is likely planned to a T. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature could always step in and ruin that carefully outlined itinerary with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.

So far, Castro Valley looks as if it will avoid a gloomy meteorological fate, according to the most recent forecast for our area.

As you head home from work Friday evening, expect temperatures down to 51 degrees and somewhat cloudy skies.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday bring its them mostly sunny skies and warm, springtime temperatures. Over the weekend temperatures will climb as high as 66 degrees, AccuWeather products. On Monday, a high of 67 degrees is expected.

Mostly sunny skies and temperatures as high as 69 and 73 degrees are likely on Saturday and Sunday, according to the NWS.
