A Castro Valley resident of an international cultural exchange company seeks local families willing to host french exchange students this summer.

By Jonathan Draper
Many area families have come forward to host visiting French students in
the past month since .
We've gone from lacking host families for eight out of the 12 student visitors, to
needing only two. Much of the credit goes to Castro Valley Patch for getting
the word out.

You just need to provide a bed, food and some transportation. No expensive entertainments are necessary. We have a week-long coastal California excursion for them in the middle of their stay.
While at your home, they want to practice English, experience American family life, and hope to make lifelong friendships.
Today I'd like to introduce you to the two remaining students who need host
families. First of all, there's Brian, who wrote this letter to you, his
prospective host family:
Dear Madame, Mister,
My name is Brian, I'm 17 years old. I live in Orchies, near Lille in the
North of France.
I like sport, music and TV. I've a brother, Yohann. He's 14 years old. My Father, Tonio, is 43 years old. And my mother, Sabine, is 44 years old. I have a dog, Ness.
I would discover American life and improve my English. Waiting to meet you, please accept my sincere greetings.
Brian
Brian says his favorite foods are meat, potatoes and vegetables. He says
he also enjoys hiking and going to movies and playing soccer and ping pong.
.
He lives in a little village near Bordeaux in the south of France. His father, Richard, is a manager. His mother, Fabienna, is a homemaker. He has a younger brother and sister: Armand and Clothilde. He has a dog. He feels his English is good but wants to improve.
He says, "I'm a great fan of American TV series. Also I like to cook (more exactly to eat what I cooked) and to read. I really hope that there is a teenager of my age in your family because I would be delighted to welcome my new American friend in France after my stay in California."
Any parents out there want to give their teenagers a great summer experience? Gregoire wants to meet your family!
