Video: Jenny Lin Concert Brings 'A Whole New World' to Castro Valley
More than 300 young musicians from more than 50 schools throughout the Bay Area participated in this year's Summer Music Program and concert.
For the 18th year, the brought musical talents to Castro Valley from hundreds of young musicians throughout the Bay Area under one roof.
Hosted by The Jenny Lin Foundation, the concert was established following the tragic 1994 murder of 14-year-old Jennifer Lin in her Castro Valley home. The foundation is dedicated to promoting child safety and youth music education in the community.Â
The concert not only allows hundreds of young practicing musicians a chance to improve their music and social skills but it also honors Jenny's love for music. She excelled in piano and viola.

About 342 musicians from more than 50 schools and 13 cities throughout the Bay Area and beyond participated in this year's six-week summer music program. They got to showcase their talents during Friday's concert.
This year's concert, titled "A Whole New World" was held at the and featured musicians from symphonic orchestra, chorus and symphonic band. ABC7/KGO TV anchor Cheryl Jennings was this year's Master of Ceremonies.
