What do you like about where you live? Family Community

How long have you been reading the Castro Valley Patch? A little over a year.

What do you like about the Castro Valley Patch? I like that it has local news and you can find out things going on.

What is one thing you want your community to know about you? (This is hard!)  Since moving to CV 2 years ago, we've been working really hard on fixing up our home to provide a beautiful home for our 3 children. Between working a full-time job and driving the kids to and from soccer and baseball practice, it's been a challenge but so rewarding. We moved to Castro Valley from Hayward to provide a good high school education for our highschooler since our other 2 children are still in private school.  We are involved in the Portuguese Community and our daughters just finished their reign this past June as Queens for the Portuguese Hall in Hayward.  The IDES in Hayward has been celebrating their Holy Ghost Festas (as they are called in Portuguese) for 115 years.

If you were stranded on a desert island, and you could only take 3 things/people with you - who or what would you take? And why? I would have to say I would take my 3 kids since I can't imagine not having them by my side (sorry hubby!).
