2 Children Pulled From East Bay Pools
Officers and medics rushed to help rescue two young children from pools in Contra Costa County on Wednesday night.
CONCORD, CA — East Bay first responders leaped into action Wednesday evening, rushing to two reported drownings in Concord and Pleasant Hill.
According to Concord police, officers rushed to the 3000 block of Chrisland Court on reports of a 20-month-old girl who was found unresponsive in the swimming pool. Officers performed CPR until medics arrived. The child was rushed to a local hospital where she was receiving care Wednesday night.
In Pleasant Hill, KRON reported that Contra Costa County firefighters came to the aid of a 3-year-old boy in a pool near Golf Club Road around 7 p.m. Medics found the boy out of the pool, conscious and breathing. An update on his status was not immediately released.
