City of Concord offices will be closed Friday, Sept. 21 for an unpaid furlough day. Facilities to be closed include the Civic Center complex (1950 Parkside Drive), Public Works (1455 Gasoline Alley), Concord Community Pool (3501 Cowell Rd.), and Police Headquarters (1350 Galindo St.). Police patrol and dispatch operations will not be affected by the closure.
The Concord Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle, will remain open. Centre Concord (5298 Clayton Rd.) and Willow Pass Community Center (2748 East Olivera Rd.) will be closed except for previously scheduled events and classes.
As a cost-saving measure, City employees are taking 13 unpaid furlough days during the year, which equates to a five percent reduction in pay. For more information, contact the City Manager’s Office, (925) 671-3150.
