The City of Concord is currently in the process of applying to LAFCO to create a subsidiary district that the City will oversee.

One particular area of concern that SupervisorMitchoffΒ will address is the District’s process for awarding grants and its evaluation criteria. Β β€œThe District has operated with very broad criteria for their grant application process. Β Had there been specific criteria and monitoring mechanisms in place, the community would have seen a more efficient use of their tax dollars,” said SupervisorMitchoff. Β β€œAnd we would have seen the value reflected in the health of the community.”

The hearing will take place in the Capitol Building at 9:30 am. Β An agenda can be found athttp://aaar.assembly.ca.gov/currenthearings.
