Apparent Suicide Victim Found in Clayton Park
The Clayton Police Department is investigating the apparent suicide of a white male in his 40's who was found dead in Westwood Park at the end of Haviland Place.
A deceased white male adult was discovered in a park in Clayton Monday, with injuries that appeared to be self-inflicted, according to Clayton police.
The man, said to be in his 40's, had suffered "significant trauma," according to the Clayton Police Department. He was found by a tree in Westwood Park, which is locatedΒ at the end of Haviland Place off Clayton Road, behind Safeway.
A handgun was found near the man, and the Clayton Police Department is investigating his death as a suicide. The victim's name has not been released.

Monday afternoon,Β Claycord readers provided information about the apparent suicide, stating that they had seen a tarp being placed over the body. The Clayton Police Department has since confirmed the incident.
