Bay Area Man Arrested In Assault Of Fast Food Worker Who Lost An Eye
An employee of The Habit lost an eye after she was punched in the face by a customer in Antioch, police said.

ANTIOCH, CA β A Bay Area man was arrested Monday after a he was accused of punching a fast food working in the face, causing her to lose an eye, police said.
Police were dispatched around 5:25 p.m. on Nov. 12 after reports of an assault at The Habit Burger in Antioch, the Antioch Police Department said in a statement.
Police said the employee was protecting an "individual with an intellectual disability from being bullied" when she was attacked, police said.

The victim was identified by NBC News as 19-year-old Bianca Palomera, who told the station that the suspect had used slurs toward her co-worker's brother and threatened to "beat him up."

It took several weeks for police to locate the suspect, identified as Isaac White-Carter, a 20-year-old resident of Hayward. He was arrested Monday by U.S. Marshals Service on felony charges of mayhem and aggravated assault causing great bodily injury.
