Concord Man Dies In Southern California Freeway Crash

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A Concord man was killed and three others injured over the weekend in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in Temescal Valley, just south of the city of Corona in Riverside County.

The crash was reported at 3:25 a.m. Saturday on the southbound side of the freeway, about a quarter-mile south of Dos Lagos Drive.

James Saunders, 60, died at the scene and three others were taken to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries, according to information from the Riverside County coroner's office and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The crash cause is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
