Farmers' Market Gives Bonus to EBT Recipients

Welfare recipients can get $5 when spending $10 at the Concord Farmers' Market.

If you're one of the nearly four million people who benefit from the State of California's food stamps program, Cal Fresh, and live in or near Concord, listen up:

You can receive an extra $5 to purchase food with when spending $10 with Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) tokens provided by the state.Β 

The program, called Market Match, is active until October 25, 2012 at the downtown farmers' market in Todos Santos Plaza Tuesdays and Thursdays.Β
