Fatal East Bay Train Collision Investigated
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at about 9 a.m. Friday, according to police.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Pittsburg this morning in the vicinity of Railroad Avenue and Tenth Street, police say. Officers responded to the area at about 9 a.m. Friday, according to police.
Workers from the BNSF Railway Company are heading up an investigation into the incident and are currently at work on the scene, police say.
