Half Marathon To Close Or Limit Willow Pass Road In Concord
Sections of Willow Pass Road in Concord will be closed or limited from 5:30 am to about 11 am on Sat., May 27 due to a half marathon.

CONCORD, CA -- If you're going to be out and about on or around Willow Pass Road on Saturday, expect road delays, the Concord Police Dept. says.
Sections of Willow Pass Road in Concord are expected to be closed or limited from 5:30 am to about 11 am on May 27 due to the Armed Forces Half Marathon, a 13-mile run that begins and ends at Todos Santos Plaza at Willow Pass Road and Grant streets.
The two blocks of Willow Pass Road from Galindo Street to Grant Street with be completely closed, as will the section of Willow Pass Road from Lynwood Drive to Highway 4. Between Lynwood Drive and Grant Street, traffic will be limited to one half of Willow Pass Road with one lane in each direction sharing the eastbound lane.

Concord Police and staff are being stationed along the route at intersections to manage cross traffic. Residents are advised to take alternate routes through the area, if possible, as there may be traffic delays. Electronic signage announcing the closure has been placed on Willow Pass Road in advance of the race.
