Homeless Man's Death May Have Been Murder, Concord Police Say
Police are investigating a homicide in connection with the death of a transient man whose body was found Saturday in Concord.

CONCORD, CA -- Police are investigating a homicide in connection with the death of a transient man whose body was found Saturday morning near a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Concord, police said Monday.
A woman flagged down an officer at about 9 a.m. Saturday after she spotted a body near Willow Pass Road and Market Street, authorities say. The officer stopped and found the body in some bushes.
The victim was identified May 8 as Loreto Reyes, 66, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

Police identified and arrested a person Sunday on suspicion of murder and booked the suspect into the county jail where they remain. The suspect's name is not being released, as the investigation is ongoing.
