Letter to the Editor: Who Wants to Attend Clayton Valley Charter High?
Charter supporters are looking for who is interested in being a student at Clayton Valley Charter High School to meet a district requirement by Oct. 28.

By Alison Bacigalupo
Proposition 39 requires school districts to provide local charter schools with facilities that are sufficient and reasonably equivalent to other buildings, classrooms or facilities in the district. As a condition to that, charter schools are asked to provide estimates on how many students/families are materially interested in attending the charter school.
While MDUSD has the ability to waive these conditions, they have asked us to provide actual estimates of attendance. Therefore, we are asking all students/families who are materially interested in attending Clayton Valley Charter High School next year to fill out and return the attached forms. These signed forms MUST be returned no later than Oct. 28, 2011 and are meant for all current 8, 9, 10 and 11th grade students. These students do not need to live in the Clayton Valley attendance area. Anyone interested in enrolling should fill the out the form and submit. If there are questions regarding this form or the process they should be directed to cvchs@hotmail.com.
The forms can be found here: http://sites.google.com/site/claytonvalleycharterhighschool/intent-to-enroll

Editor's Note: This is just asking for an intent to enroll. It is non-binding. If you do not fill out these forms by Oct. 28 it does not mean your child won't be able to attend Clayton Valley Charter High School.
