Minor Injuries As Lexus Hits 10-Year-Old Girl In Antioch
Police say a Lexus driver lost control while turning onto Alumrock Drive, striking a parked SUV as the occupants were leaving the vehicle.

ANTIOCH - Police released additional details Monday about an incident involving a child struck by a vehicle on Sunday afternoon in Antioch.
Officers initially responded at 1:54 p.m. Sunday to reports that a vehicle hit a pedestrian at Alumrock and Rockford drives, near Muir Elementary School,Β according to Antioch police.
Responding officers learned that the driver of a Lexus lost control while turning onto Alumrock Drive, striking a parked SUV as the occupants were leaving the vehicle, according to police.

During the crash, one of the cars hit a 10-year-old girl.
The child was treated by medical personnel on scene, and was later was airlifted to UCSF Benioff Childrenβs Hospital in Oakland for treatment, police said.

She suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover, police said.
