Motorcyclist Killed After Hitting Fence, Fire Hydrant And Tree In Concord
A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after a solo crash Tuesday night in Concord, according to police.

CONCORD, CA -- A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after a solo crash in Concord on Tuesday night, police say.
Officers responded to Cowell Road at Plumleigh Lane at 9:56 p.m. May 9 on a report of a motorcycle crash and found Concord resident Tyler Lee Chavez unresponsive. He was then transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say they determined that Chavez was headed north on Cowell Road when he lost control of his 2014 Triumph and then hit a fence, fire hydrant and tree.

Police said they don't yet know whether drugs or alcohol may have been factors in the crash.
