Nov. 24 isΒ Small Business SaturdayΒ β a shopping day wedged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday that gives Concordians a chance to show their love for local businesses by spending money here in town.
American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, small businesses in Concord rely on their neighbors to help them continue prospering, building the local economy and providing local jobs.
Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores and supporting the community.
