Storm's A Brewin', Five Days Of Rain On the Way

Concordians can expect to see the last of the sunshine for a while as a series of storms moves in to the Bay Area.

The weather change is expected to hit tonight, with severe thunderstorms forecasted to start late Tuesday, leaving rain, rain and more rain all the way through to Sunday.

Breezy conditions are also expected on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures in the mid-60s during the day, dropping to the low 50s at night.

If flooding occurs, Concord residents can pick up a maximum of 25 free sand bags from Corporation Yard at 1455 Gasoline Alley between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Learn how to use sandbags here or call (925) 671-3383 for more information. When finished with the sand bags, residents should call (925) 671-3050 for the city to come and pick them up.

The storms might also dampen some of the holiday activities planned around Concord, including , which is set to include a visit from Santa and carriage rides around the plaza.
