VIDEO: Edi Birsan and Dan Helix Sworn Into Concord City Council

First time Council member Edi Birsan joined fourth-term leader Dan Helix taking the oath of office Tuesday evening before assuming positions on the Concord City Council.

Both promised to "support and defend the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the State of California against all enemies foreign and domestic" and to "well and faithfully discharge" the duties upon which they were about to enter.

After the proceedings, the council nominated Dan Helix as mayor of Concord.
