Containment Grows On 19-Acre Wildfire In Antioch: Con Fire

ANTIOCH, CA β€” The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was battling a wildfire Friday in Antioch.

The blaze broke out around 3:30 p.m. near the 1700 block of West Fourth Street.

Fire district spokesperson Lauren Ono said crews were onsite and actively fighting the fire, which at 5 p.m. was 18 acres with no containment.

No structures were threatened at that time.

The situation improved. By 6:15 p.m. the blaze was 19 acres and 70 percent contained, with 50 Con Fire firefighters at the scene.
