Youth Members Sought For Concord Parks, Rec And Open Space Commission
Applicants must be between 12 and 21 years old and live in or attend school in Concord.

CONCORD, CA β The city of Concord is seeking two youth members for the city's Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission.
Recruitment for the positions was announced Tuesday by the Concord City Council, and the deadline for interested youths to submit their applications to the City Clerk's Office is 5 p.m. Friday, June 7.
The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission is comprised of five adult members who serve four-year terms and two youth members who serve one-year terms. The new term starts Sept. 1 and ends June 30, 2025.

The Commission advises the City Council on matters related to public parks, open space, recreation and youth; reviews and recommends Council action to develop, modify, and/or improve city parks; promotes recreation and park programs, assesses park and recreation needs, and recommends capital improvement projects and fees. Meetings are held as needed at at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
Youth members must not be younger than 13 or older than 21 at the time of their appointment and must be a Concord resident or attend school in Concord and may be a part-time seasonal employee of the city.

The youth members are appointed by the adult members of the Commission.
