Free Slurpees at 7-Eleven Thursday

The drink giveaway is in honor of the store's birthday.

By Redmond Carolipio

The Slurpee has become synonymous with 7-Eleven.

So to celebrate the convenience store’s birthday it’s serving free small cups of the famous frozen beverage Thursday, also known as “7-Eleven Day.”

The chain is 86 years old, to be exact.

From now until 11 p.m. customers can get a free small Slurpee and perhaps break out the Slurpee Dance, seen in the attached video from 7-Eleven's website. From the looks of it, sipping a Slurpee can transport you to a psychedelic Nintendo land, but that may just be the sugar rush.
