• Construction Restarts on Culver Public Market at Washington and Centinela (westsidetoday.com) — Construction is finally moving ahead on the Culver Public Market at Washington Boulevard and Centinela, bringing new restaurant space and local hangout options to Culver City by late 2026. The scaled-back, open-air project will feature tenants like Smog City Brewery, a restored neon “Culver” sign, an antique Helms Bakery truck, and space for pop-ups and small events.
   

• Mary J. Blige announces first Las Vegas residency (wsbtv.com) — Mary J. Blige is launching a theatrical, storytelling-style residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas this May and July, with tickets going on sale this week. While the shows aren’t in Culver City, locals may enjoy seeing a star who’s performed at Sony Studios here featured in a major new production.
   

• Hear Our Story – Support for Families Impacted by ICE (culvercitycrossroads.com) — Culver City residents are invited to a January 25 “Hear Our Story” gathering at Culver City Presbyterian Church, co-sponsored with L.A. Voice, to support families impacted by ICE. The afternoon teach-in and fundraiser will feature personal stories, education, and ways to offer tangible help, with Mayor Freddy Puza joining in solidarity. RSVPs are required to attend.
