On April 5, police used camera technology to pinpoint a location where the stolen Porsche GT3 was traveling. "Detectives saturated the area, conducted surveillance for several hours, and positively identified the suspect driving the Porsche GT3, as well as the location of the suspect’s residence," police said in a report.

Detectives arrested a convicted felon, Nova Moore, 22, of Hayward, and recovered the stolen Porsche GT3. Police say that Moore attempted to discard a loaded handgun during the arrest.
