CHP Investigating Fatal Friday Night Crash on I-880 in Fremont

Fremont, CA— A person was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 7:39 p.m. on southbound Highway 880 just south of Decoto Road. At least one victim has been pronounced dead, and the coroner's office was requested at the scene around 8 p.m. Responding vehicles have moved over to the shoulder and no Sig-alert had been issued as of 8:15 p.m., according to the CHP. Further details were not immediately available.
