Since its start, the institute "has focused entirely on treating severe food allergies and eliminating life-threatening reactions to them. Unlike other allergy clinics and specialists, all [Food Allergy Institute] efforts are dedicated to helping families enjoy Food Freedom — the ability to eat whatever, whenever, without fear of an allergic reaction,” according to the institute's website.

The institute currently has treatment centers in SoCal cities such as Long Beach, Signal Hill and Vista. Its “Tolerance Induction Program,” for qualifying patients between the age of 18 months and 25 years old, includes diagnostic testing and a review of a patient’s medical history to create a customized treatment plan.

The program “has helped thousands of patients achieve remission from severe food allergies,” according to the Food Allergy Institute.

The Tolerance Induction Program will be available at the Fremont clinic, which will open its doors to patients on Monday, August 4.

The grand opening celebration will take place at the Fremont Downtown Event Center, located at 3500 Capitol Ave., Fremont, in the facility’s “State Room.” For more information and to R.S.V.P. to the free event, go here.

The Fremont clinic’s address, once open, will be 2191 Mowry Avenue, Suite 600B, Fremont.
