Strawberry Moon Taken From The Bay Area: Photos Of The Day
Photographer Huy Nguyen captured the rare lunar phase from a Fremont point of view.
FREMONT, CA — Those who looked to the night sky on Tuesday got to glimpse a rare strawberry moon.
Huy Nguyen took this photo from Fremont of a pink hued moon lighting up the dark sky.
This strawberry moon occurred in the major lunar standstill phase, known as lunistice. Those who missed it on Tuesday, will have to wait for the next lunistice event in 2043.
