Sunol AR-15 Shooting: Suspect Arrested
The suspect was taken into custody and his weapon seized at a homeless encampment, according to the sheriff's office.

SUNOL, CA — A man is hospitalized in stable condition following a shooting in Sunol, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. A suspect has been arrested.
The shooting happened on May 15. A man who had been shot jumped out of a vehicle and flagged down another motorist in the 5500 block of Niles Canyon Road. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The victim knew the suspect, who was identified as Jesus "Morro" Gonzalez-Solis.
Sheriff's patrol officers and investigators tracked Gonzalez-Solis to a homeless encampment in Hayward, where he was arrested on Tuesday.

"Despite attempts at evasion, detectives swiftly apprehended Gonzalez-Solis," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "Detectives seized a loaded 9mm AR-15 pistol from Gonzalez-Solis's person during the arrest."
Gonzalez-Solis was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and multiple weapons offenses. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
