1 Of 2 People Killed In Hwy 101 Crash Near Gilroy Identified
The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has released the name of 1 of 2 people who died in a crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Gilroy.

SOUTH BAY, CA --The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has released the name of one of two people who died in a crash on U.S. Highway 101 near state Highway 25 near Gilroy on Sunday night.
Gregorio Diaz, 49, of Watsonville, was driving a car involved in the crash that was reported at 10:51 p.m. on May 14, according to the medical examiner's office. He died in the crash.
The medical examiner's office has not yet been able to notify the family of the passenger in the car who died and did not release the name.

A Sig-alert was issued and the crash closed at least one southbound lane on Highway 101 Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
