Free Meals Available For Gilroy Children This Summer

Anyone under 18 is eligible. No library card, application or proof of income is required.

GILROY, CA — Free meals are available for children in Gilroy this summer beginning this week.

Starting Tuesday, grab-and-go-meals will be provided at the Gilroy Library parking lot from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The Santa Clara County Library District partnered with Silicon Valley YMCA and Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley.

Anyone under 18 is eligible. No library card, application or proof of income is required.

Other free summer meal locations in Gilroy will provide meals through July 29. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The following school sites will serve as pick-up spots:

ELIOT ELEMENTARY
475 Old Gilroy Street
*No meal service on July 4-6

ROD KELLEY ELEMENTARY
8755 Kern Avenue
*No meal service on July 4-6

SOLORSANO MIDDLE SCHOOL
7121 Grenache Way
*No meal service on July 4-6

BROWNELL MIDDLE SCHOOL
7800 Carmel Street
*No meal service on June 20 and July 4
