Gilroy Armed Bank Robbery Probed

Two suspects fled with an unspecified amount of cash, according to police.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A South Bay bank was robbed at gunpoint Thursday, and the suspects were at large as of Thursday evening, Gilroy police said in a Facebook post.

Officers at around 2:05 p.m. responded to the 6900 block of Camino Arroyo on the report of an armed bank robbery, police said.

“Upon arrival, it was determined two masked suspects had entered the bank and robbed it at gunpoint,” police said.

“The suspects fled in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of currency. Fortunately, nobody was injured during the robbery.”
