Gilroy Repaints Several Intersections To Increase Visibility

GILROY, CA — The city of Gilroy has made improvements to Church Street between 2nd and 5th streets intended to improve safety and visibility.

The city has painted red curbs at key intersections and added “cross traffic does not stop” signs to intersections, as well as upgraded reflective material to signs to increase visibility.

The intersections between 2nd and 5th streets will also receive new lane striping to increase visibility before the end of the year, according to the city.

Commenters on the city’s Facebook page under a post announcing the changes asked if the city could repaint streets in other areas, like on 9th street and the south end of the city.
