1 Dead In Crash North Of Santa Rosa: CHP
CHP officials say a man died when he crashed his car into a tree.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A 71-year-old man died when his Chevrolet Suburban crashed into a tree in unincorporated Sonoma County this afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol officer. The older model Chevrolet failed to negotiate a sharp left turn and crashed into a tree on Slusser Road north of River Road north of Santa Rosa around 1:30 p.m., CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.
Rincon Valley Fire Protection District firefighters responded and declared the driver dead at the scene, Sloat said. The CHP is investigating whether impairment or a medical or mechanical issue may have contributed to
the crash.
