2 Windsor Crashes Caused By Suspected DUI Driver: Cops

A Larkfield man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after hitting two street light poles, authorities say. (Breaking)

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Police arrested a Larkfield man on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after two vehicle crashes into street light poles Saturday in Windsor. Police said Glenn Getchell, 53, crashed his 2000 Ford Expedition into a street light pole at the bottom of the U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp at Arata Lane around 8:20 p.m.

Getchell was injured in the crash and he had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.23 percent, Sgt. James Percy said. Getchell was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run,
Percy said.

The hit-and-run charge pertains to a crash earlier in the day in which Getchell also struck a street light pole at the intersection of Old Redwood Highway and Windsor Road, Percy said.
