Body Found In Russian River Identified As Local Transient

GUERNEVILLE, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was found dead along the Russian River in the community of Guerneville Monday morning as Alex Colmar, 30, an area transient.

Colmar's partially-clothed body was found around 10 a.m. face down in the mud along the river in the 18000 block of Neeley Road, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Healdsburg police also said Tuesday that a man was found dead in Foss Creek along a bike and walking path in Healdsburg around 10:30 a.m. Monday. His identity has not been released.

Foul play is not suspected in either death, authorities said.
