🌱 Correction + Happy New Year!

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Healdsburg.

(Patch Media)

Hey, everybody! It’s me, Simone, your host of the Healdsburg Daily. There’s no actual newsletter today, since the weekend edition was sent out yesterday — instead, I just wanted to stop by with a quick and very important correction to something I told you in yesterday’s roundup.

When presenting the county’s COVID case data for Healdsburg, I wrote that there are around 740 active cases in Healdsburg right now. In fact, the active case RATE is at about 740 out of every 100,000 residents — meaning the total number of cases, given Healdsburg’s size, is actually more like 132. We do still have the highest case rate of any ZIP code in the county, though.

Apologies if I freaked anyone out with that huge number! (Sonoma County Government)

Oh, and while I’ve got you, completely unrelated — Lyn, the bartender at Hotel Trio on Dry Creek Road between Adel’s and Big John’s, reached out to let you all know that she’ll be bartending til 10:30 p.m. tonight and would love if you’d come see her for an “early New Year’s Eve toast.” She says she’s got plenty of beer and wine, and “no food provided but you can bring it in.” (Inbox)
