Deadline Nears For Sonoma County Fire Memorial Task Force Applications
First-round applications are due soon to serve on the task force to help create a memorial honoring those lost in the 2017 fires.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The application deadline is approaching for those interested in serving on the Sonoma County Fire Memorial Task Force.
The task force will help oversee the memorial artwork, a project to recognize the impact of the 2017 Sonoma Complex Fires on the county’s residents and specifically honor the memories of those whose lives were lost.
The task force will consist of approximately seven members reflecting a broad cross-section of stakeholders, including representatives of families who lost loved ones in the fires, first responders, artists, and arts workers, and will be drawn from across Sonoma County.

In conjunction with Creative Sonoma, a division of the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, the task force will finalize the Fire Memorial project work plan, oversee the development of community engagement activities and artist Requests for Proposals, and select the finalist/s.

The task force will meet no less frequently than bi-monthly at the Creative Sonoma office, 141 Stony Circle, Suite 110 in Santa Rosa. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.
